Stemming rules expand your search to include grammatical variations of keywords in the results. For example, such a search for the word "apply" would also return "applies," "applying," and "applied."
To apply stemming rules to a particular word in the keyword search, add the ~ symbol to the end of the word you want "stemmed"—for example, appl~.
